Estim8ed's post brings up a good idea - have a "sounds like" section where you can liken a band to other (perhaps more famous) bands to give people an idea what they sound like?

Hi All - I posted this last month and it seems to be relavant to this thread so...

This post was under the subject "good jam bands".

Can you guys describe what some of these bands are doing? I know it is difficult to do without stereotyping/pigeon-holing(whatever you call it)or using cliches but...

Descriptions are one thing that is missing from LMA. The reason being, no band want to state "we're a country/jam/bluegrass/blues band" for fear of exclusion. Some people may not care to listen to certain genres, but many bands here do much, much more. So, I have always thought each band should have space to describe what they do at the collection page.
